This course is an introduction to reading and writing Basic English. The course will focus on recognizing letters, spelling rules, and other basic reading and writing skills. By the end of the course students should be able to read most basic literature.

This course is a student’s first introduction to basic grammar rules. Simple sentence structure, punctuation rules, and verb conjugation are presented. Students will be working with basic present tenses while improving their reading and writing skills. Commands, or the imperative, and the progressive forms will also be taught. By the end of the course students should have a command of present simple, present progressive and imperative tenses, and be able to converse at a basic level.

By the end of the course students should have a dominance of all present and future tenses, and be able to converse more with greater fluidity.

Our individualized instruction provides tutoring in math, reading and writing. We also assist with homework help and test preperation. We nuture the critical skills Hispanic students need to achieve academic success today while raising their confidence level for future successes. Our program is totally staffed with volunteers whose talents range from retired teachers and reading specialists to high school honor students.We follow the West Bend School District Calendar.
