DESCRIPTION:
Glitz, glam and stars! The Kettle Moraine YMCA and Casa Guadalupe Education Center, Inc. present "Our Stars of Washington County" a dance competition fundraiser. This event is a spin-off of the national phenomenon that is ABC's "Dancing with the Stars."

"Our Stars of Washington County" will take place at the Chandelier Ballroom in Hartford with performances on February 4 & 18 and March 4 & 18, 2010. The competition will begin at 6:30pm and wrap up around 8:30pm. The dance floor will be available until 10pm for all those who wish to dance th night away! A cash bar will be available and light snacks will be provided.

Eight dance teams will compete for top honors as Washington County's Best Dancers. Each team will consist of one professional and dancer and one local "star". They will perform a simple routine that will last a maximum of two minutes. A panel of local "star" judges and the audience will judge the dancers.

($25.00) Option A: Individual per night.

All proceeds from this event will benefit both the Kettle Moraine YMCA and Casa Guadalupe Education Center, Inc.

Casa Guadalupe Education Center Inc. is a nonprofit outreach that responds to the educational and social demands of Hispanics. Casa Guadalupe Education Center, Inc. currently serves between 800 and 900 Hispanic clients in both its Educational and Pastoral Faith Divisions. With over 60 years of combined educational and pastoral staff experience, Casa Guadalupe Education Center, Inc. is the only existing bilingual and bicultural nonprofit community based program north of Milwaukee and Waukesha counties.

As a non-profit organization, the Kettle Moraine YMCA works to strengthen families to help people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities develop values and behaviors through all stages of life. The YMCA is dedicated to helping people attain good health through a healthy lifestyle and encouraging people to get involved in making their community a better place for everyone. The Kettle Moraine YMCA welcomes all that wish to participate, and raises funds annually through the Strong Kids Campaign to help make that possible.

Jan. 8 - Helping Hands - Join us as we spend the evening doing service projects for others. Help put a smile on someone else's face!

Feb.12 - Mad Scientist - Put on your lab coat and get ready for some wild science and engineering experiments!

Mar. 12 - Many Faces, One World: Scandinavia - Learn about Scandinavian culture through children's games, stories, food, and art.

April 9 - Fun with Woodworking - Hammer away! Build a simple woodworking project to take home.

May 14 - Many Faces, One World: American Indian - Learn about the Native American culture through children's games, stories, food, and art.

June 11 - Old Fashioned Toys & Games - Take a step back in time and experience what children did for fun in the days before toy stores and video                                                                              games.

When: 2nd Friday of the month, 6:30-8:00pm

Who: For school age children & their families
